Legal Notice, Disclaimer & Statement of Purpose

This website is a work of satire and comedic commentary. It does not purport to show, and must not be relied upon as showing, the actual, current, live or real-time location or movements of any person, named or otherwise.

What this site is

Where Is Enoch? is a parody of the children's puzzle format Where's Wally? and a piece of humorous commentary on the volume of press coverage generated by a matter of public record in Ireland. It is published as opinion, parody and satire, and is intended to be understood as such by any reasonable reader.

What the map shows

The pins are fixed geographic markers for buildings and institutions — courthouses, schools, hotels, State bodies. They are the published locations of places, not of people. A pin appears because a news outlet published a headline naming that venue in connection with a matter of public record, and every entry links to its source so any reader may check the original report.

No pin indicates that any individual is, was, or will be present at that location. The site does not use, collect, purchase, infer or process location data, telemetry, GPS, mobile network data, social media check-ins, photographs, or any other information capable of identifying where any person actually is. It has no such capability and no such intention.

Sources and accuracy

Headlines are gathered automatically from publicly available RSS feeds published by news organisations, and reproduced in short extract for the purposes of criticism, comment, review, quotation and reporting of current events. Copyright in each headline and article remains with its publisher, to whom all links point. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any news organisation, school, court, State body, or individual referred to.

Automated collection is imperfect. A headline may be matched to a venue in error, may be inaccurate at source, or may have been updated or withdrawn after collection. Nothing here is offered as verified fact. Day counts are computed only from dates checked against a cited report; an unverified date is marked provisional on the page rather than presented as settled.
